Deborah "Debbie" Strain's Obituary
Funeral services for Deborah “Debbie” Strain, 66, of Anacoco, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Rev. Larry Laurent officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
Debbie was born on May 24, 1952 in Hayti, Missouri to her parents, William Howard & Hazel Eloise Canoy Shaffer. She passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in the Willis Knighton Piermont Hospital in Shreveport.
She worked for many years at The Vernon Bank and the Vernon Parish Police Jury before working as a dispatcher for Cubic at Fort Polk. She loved to spend time in the garden tending to her flowers. She enjoyed baking and doing genealogy, but her most important job was taking care of “her boys”.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, 4 Brothers and 6 Sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years: Reggie Strain of Anacoco; Two Sons: Stuart Strain of Ashland, OK, and Buddy Strain of Leesville, LA; One Brother: Robert Shaffer of Ellisnore, MO; One Sister: Stephanie Wright of Laquey, MO; Four Grandchildren: Harlen Strain, Trac Strain, Katie Horn, & Samantha Horn.
