Deana Fern Maddox's Obituary
Deana Fern Maddox entered peacefully into rest surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Rosepine, Louisiana. Deana was born on December 24, 1942 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to her parents Gilbeaux and Silvor Vanosdol Brown.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder with Rev George Lee Glass officiating. Visitation with be held on Thursday, April 27th from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Deana loved to collect things and one of her favorite things to collect was frog items. She loved playing games; dominos and bingo were among her favorites. She was a dominos champion. She enjoyed her spa days and showing off her hair and nails.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Pat Maddox of DeRidder, LA, John Daniel Maddox Jr., & wife, Debra of Rosepine, LA, Keith Maddox & wife Theresa of Hartford, IL and Charles Maddox of Leesville, LA; 18 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Gilbeaux & Silvor Brown; her husband John Daniel Maddox and her children, Darren Maddox and James Maddox.
The family would like to thank Rosepine Retirement Center and Harbor Hospice for their amazing care and compassion shown to Mrs. Deana.
