David "Bear" Leslie Blankenship's Obituary
David “Bear” Leslie Blankenship, 53, of Cravens, LA, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 23, 2011, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Glade Branch Baptist Church of Cravens, LA with Rev. Russell Devore officiating. Interment will follow in Drakes Fork Cemetery, Cravens, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the church.
He was born February 27, 1958, in Dallas, TX, the son of Elnora and late D.L. Blankenship.
He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Wayne Blankenship of DeRidder, LA, John Leslie Blankenship of Natchitoches, LA, his mother, Enora Blankenship of Cravens, LA; special friend Wayne Borque of Pitkin, LA and a host of friends and family.
Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his father, D. L. Blankenship.
