David Wayne Lambert's Obituary
David Wayne Lambert, 80, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home in DeRidder with his family by his side. David was born on October 10, 1940 in DeRidder, LA to Daniel Webster Lambert and Dezeline (Austin) Lambert.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 31, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church located at 122 Martin Luther King Drive, DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021, visitation will start at 9:00 AM and service will begin at 11:00 AM, at the church with Rev. Paul Bell, Pastor of Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder.
David worked for many years and retired from the Beauregard Parish School Board as a Custodian. He was a member of the Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church. He as a man that loved being outdoors enjoying the sounds of nature and planting trees. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Mary Elizabeth (Moses) Lambert of DeRidder, LA; sons, James Edward Lambert of Glencoe, KY, Alvin Roy Lambert, and Alton Ray Lambert both of DeRidder; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Daniel Webster Lambert; mother, Dezeline (Austin) Lambert; daughter, Grace Renea Lambert; brothers, J. D. Lambert, Thurston Lambert, Joseph Lambert, Marvin Lambert, and Elvin Lambert; sisters, Carline Phillips and Ruby Ashworth.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Jasper Phillips, Burt Phillips, Gage Lambert, Ethan Lambert, Justin Lambert, and Allen Phillips.
