Darrell McDonald's Obituary
Darrell Mattison McDonald, Sr. of DeRidder, Louisiana, 90, passed away on February 22, 2026. He was born on October 5, 1935.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents Joshua McDonald and Venoy Marshall McDonald, his wife, Annette Brown McDonald, and his two sisters, Gloria Garison, and Sandra Cooley.
He is survived by his children, daughter Belinda McDonald-Paez, and son Darrell McDonald, Jr. (Suelly) His four grandchildren Heather McDonald Dickson (Joe Tom), Josh McDonald, Layla Paez-Ortega (Carlos), and Jose Mattison Paez , and his three great-grandchildren, Adrian Paez, Drew Dickson, and Camila Paez. As well as a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Darrell retired from Cleco Electric after a lifelong career there. He attended the First Methodist Church and served his community as a Police Juryman in his younger years.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 5:00PM-8:00 PM with Funeral Services held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00PM. All services will be at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. A Burial Service will follow at Beauregard Cemetery on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
