Cynthia Kay Cooley's Obituary
Funeral services for Cynthia Kay Cooley, 61, of Leesville will be held Friday, January 13, 2017, at 2 pm at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Jeff Smart & Rev. Terry McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12th, from 5 pm until 9 pm and on Friday, from 8 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Kaye, the daughter of John W. and Voncile Dunaway Monk, was born on August 28, 1955, in Augusta, Georgia. She passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in Leesville, Louisiana.
Kaye married the love of her life, Lynn Cooley, on March 11, 1973. She worked for Walmart and Vernon Parish Sheriffs Office E-911 for over 25 years. She was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church. Kaye was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a giving heart and there was nothing more important to her than her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lynn Cooley of Leesville; sons, Chris Cooley & Corey Cooley & wife Mindi; daughter, Cheri' Maines & husband, Kevin all of Leesville; brothers, John Monk of Baltimore, MD & Timmy Monk of Leesville; sister, Diane Willis of Leesville and seven grandchildren, Ronny & Logan Morrison, Drake Maines, Skylar Maines, Baylee Maines, Gryphon Cooley, Jackson Cooley & Hunter Cooley.
