Graveside services for Charles Henry Hanks Sr., 84, of Leesville will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, at 11am at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Charles, was born on May 11, 1933, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, in Leesville, Louisiana.
He was in the military for 30 years, where he served in the Vietnam and Korea War, he was also the Deputy City Marshall for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his son; Charles “Charlie” Henry Hanks Jr., mother; Annie Cook Guy brothers; Freddie Guy, Raymond Guy Jr. and sister; Claudia Gates.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Peggy Hanks, brother; Michael Guy (Glora) of Shreveport, LA., sisters; Janie Beaird of Shreveport, LA., LaNell Powers of Hope, AR., Barbara Elkins of Shreveport, LA., and a host of nieces and nephews.
