Creighton Q. Pugh's Obituary
Funeral service for Creighton Q. Pugh, 83, of DeRidder will be Monday, June 30th at 10 AM in the St Joseph Catholic Church. The burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder.
Mr. Pugh passed away Thursday, June 26th in Lake Charles.
Creighton was born in Singer. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of World War II were he received three Bronze Service Stars, a Bronze Star Medal and an EAME Theater Ribbon. After his service in the Military he attended and graduated from LSU Law School. Creighton served the City of DeRidder as a City Counsel Member, then the Mayor of DeRidder from 1978 - 1986 and then as City Judge. After his service as city judge he then continued his Private Law Pratice until his retirement.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Frances Pugh of DeRidder; sons Peter (wife, Peg) Pugh of Alexandria and John (wife, Charlene) Pugh if Dallas, TX; Brother Dr. Walter H. Pugh of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren, Page Pugh, Peter Pugh II, Ian Pugh and Mark Pugh; Great Grandson, Anthony Pugh, III.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 9:00 PM, Sunday June 29th in the funeral home with a rosary to be at 7:00 PM.
