Connie Sue Rainwater Fee's Obituary

Connie was a woman known for her generous heart and her deep love for her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds, working crossword puzzles, couponing, and spending hours talking on the phone with those she loved. She had a fondness for Coca-Cola, a passion for shopping—especially antiquing—and never passed up a little retail therapy. Above all, Connie treasured her role as “Nana,” a title she carried with pride and endless love.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 52 years, David Lynn Fee; her children, Shannon Fee and wife Jodi of DeRidder, Louisiana, Marshall Vernier and wife Hailey of Vidor, Texas, Amanda Kelly and husband Darrell of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Brandi Baggette and husband Brandon of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Cody Fee, Kaylie Fee Whitaker, Krysta Kelly, Katelynn Kelly, Dallas Vernier, and Paisley Vernier, as well as eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Lucy.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, her parents, Jessie Lee Rainwater and Maybell Darden Rainwater; her brother, John Paul Rainwater; her sisters, Norma Jean Davis, Hazel Stephens, and Frances Gayle Rainwater, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow at Miller Cemetery.
Connie will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
