Clyde J. Parker's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde J. Parker, 94, of Ragley, LA, will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley, LA, with Rev. Mike Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Baptist Cemetery in Ragley under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Mr. Parker passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, in his residence in Ragley. Visitation will begin Monday, January 9, 2012, at 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and from 9 A.M. until time of the service, Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in the church.
Mr. Parker was a lifelong resident of Ragley, LA, one of eight children born to William J. Parker and Elizabeth Welsh Parker. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from Trunkline Gas Company after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Magnolia Baptist Church. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and one daughter-in-law, Delores Parker,
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Parker; two sons, Davis Parker and Michael Parker and wife Peggy, all of Ragley; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Parker’s family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Magnolia Baptist Church Building Fund.
