Claudy Kathleen Langton's Obituary
Claudy Kathleen Langton, a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish, died Saturday, February 18, at her home in Anacoco, Louisiana at the age of 83.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at House of Blessings Church in Leesville with Brother Richard Sarver officiating, assisted by Brother Purvis Chance. Burial will follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Anacoco.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Kathleen was an ordained minister with World Bible Way Fellowship, a licensed nurse’s assistant, and a 20 year employee of Walmart’s in Leesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Clarence Langton, daughter Judy Olene Olsen, son William Ricky Langton, and twin children Joy and Douglas Langton.
Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Kathy Hammack of Monroe, LA, and Brenda Aepli of Walnut Creek, CA and their husbands Bob Hammack and Emmett Aepli; one brother, Tyrone Nelms of Leesville, three sisters Julia Jones, Ima Jene Smoot, Darnell Powell and their husbands, Marvin Jones, Vernon Smoot and Lloyd Powell, three grandsons, Robert Hammack, III of Birmingham and his wife Lynne, Jason Aepli of Washington, D.C. and his wife Lauren, and Lance Corporal Nathan Aepli of Bangor, WA; three granddaughters, Michelle Walker of Phoenix, AZ, Staff Sargent Vanessa Redman in Las Vegas, NV, and Noelle Klein and their husbands Richard Walker, Bobby Redman and Alan Klein, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
