Clarenda Lu "Rendi" Elliott's Obituary
Funeral services will be held for Clarenda Lu "Rendi" Elliott, 44, Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 1:30 P.M., at the First Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Wayne Kite and Rev. George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Rendi passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009, in M D Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.
She was a native and lifelong resident of DeRidder and a graduate of DeRidder High School. She was employeed with Zachry Industrial, Inc. as a Medic/Safety Coordinator. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeRidder. Rendi had served as a voluntary fireman for many years.
Survivors include her mother, Clydell Hanchey Elliott of DeRidder; brothers, Robert E. "Eddie" Elliott of Marrero, LA, Gary C. Elliott of Lafayette, LA, Mark S. Elliott and wife Melissa of DeRidder, and David Shannon Elliott and wife Vicki of Sunset, LA; grandmother, Joyce Hanchey of Collegedale, TN; nieces and nephews, Sara, Kallie, Ryan and Cole, and greatnephew Tanner. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Elliott.
