Funeral services for Christie Lynnette Walker Bishop, 54, of Leesville will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 11 am at East Leesville United Pentecostal Church in Leesville, with Rev. Wesley Manning and Rev. M.C. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2016, from 5 pm until 9 pm at the church.
Christie the daughter of James Daniel Walker, Sr. and Mary Sophrona Hardcastle was born on January 13, 1962, in Leesville, Louisiana. She passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in Leesville, LA.
Christie was LPN and worked for The Woodlands, Bayne Jones Army Hospital, and was the Wic Nurse at the Outpatient Medical Clinic in Leesville. Her life passion was her church and her family.
She is survived by her husband of thirty years, RET U.S. Army CW4, Steven James Bishop of Leesville; sons, Jamie Bishop (Kelly) of Leesville and Christopher Bishop of Shreveport; sister, Dianne Page of Leesville; aunts, Pat Nolen of Leesville, Jo Ella Berger of Canton, OH, Christine Johnson of Leesville, Geraldine Rieckers of New Iberia and Claudine King of Roanoke, WV; grandsons, Bryer James Bishop and Cole Jameson Bishop and numerous, nieces and nephews.
