Cherie Johnson Stephens' Obituary
Cherie Johnson Stephens, 52, of Leesville passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her residence in Leesville.
Cherie, the daughter of Amos Ferrell and Carol Jean Chisam Johnson was born October 1, 1961, in Fairbanks, AK. Her and her family moved to Leesville from Alaska when she was three years old. Cherie graduated from Leesville High School in 1979. She worked has a housekeeper for a number of years. She loved to read (especially Stephen King novels), writing poems and working crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was crazy about her animals, Thibodeaux, Comeaux, Jericho Bailey, Tizzy and Kitty Man.
She is survived by her husband of seven years, David Stephens of Leesville; sons, Timothy Brent Kellam & Melissa Barrell of Leesville, LA, Mark Anthony Kellam & Alicia Kellam of Anchorage, AK and James Williams Johnson & Charlene Johnson of Eagle River, AK; brother, Michael Johnson of Gulf Shores, AL and grandchildren, Kaylee Kellam, Kaycee Kellam, Beaux Johnson & Evelyn Johnson.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014, from 12pm – 4pm, at the Leesville Municipal Park and Golf Course.
