Charles Edward Turnage, 82, of Longville, LA, passed from this life on November 12, 2018 at his home in Longville LA of pulmonary fibrosis, surrounded by his loving family. Charles, the son of Burton and Georgia Turnage was born on July 27, 1936, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM, in the First Pentecostal Church of Ragley, 746 First Pentecostal Church Rd, Ragley, LA with Rev. Sean Chisholm officiating.
Charles loved the Lord and was ready to go home to be with his loving Jesus! He loved spending time with his family and friends. Charles worked for Zapata in the oilfield industry, after retiring from Zapata Corporation, he worked for Westlake Recreation Center until he retired again. He was married to Dana L. Turnage for 45 years, she died August 2017 of lung cancer.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Bruce Turnage and wife Julie, Lisa Turnage and husband Craig, and Fran Briscoe and husband Dale; five grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; a total of eleven brothers and sisters; one grandson, Scotty Verret; and one great grandson, Evan Zerangue.
