Charles Shine, 69, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Charles, the son of Willie Mae Wright was born on March 5, 1951, in Homer, Louisiana.
A private service will be conducted for his family.
Charles worked as a driver for Council on Aging for a couple of years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Charles served his country in the United States Air Force and United States Army. He spent many hours working on improvements to his home. Charles loved attending his church.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Latonia Johnson and husband Louis of DeRidder, LA; two grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Eboni Johnson, three great grandchildren, Nitosha Johnson, Zylin Johnson, Aryia Johnson; three brothers, Larry Thomas and wife Angela of Bastrop, LA, Howard Thomas of Leesville, LA, Johnnie Thomas and wife Jean of Monroe, LA; one sister, Lee Gertha Samuels of DeRidder, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be miss by his loved ones and friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Shanita Shine; mother, Willie Mae Wright Thomas; two sisters, Lisa Thomas, Emma Thomas; and brother, Roosevelt Thomas, Jr.
