Charles "Bubba" Hansen's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles “Bubba” Hansen, 68, of DeRidder will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Whitaker Cemetery, across from Friendship Baptist Church, in DeRidder, LA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5:00 P.M- 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Bubba was born on July 25, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023 at home in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Bubba loved to travel and spent all of his life traveling the United States and the world with his family from one job site to another. He was often called the “Energizer Bunny” as he was always working and never tired out. Bubba enjoyed playing games and golfing. Most important to him was his family and all the bonus children that he considered his. He loved nothing more than spending time with them, hosting family events and making memories.
He is preceded in death by his Mom, Hazel Harris; Dad. Bob Anderson; Son, Charlie Hansen; Brother, Steven Hansen and Layla and Ted Brooks his wife’s parents.
Left to cherish his memory is his Wife of 45 years, Debra Hansen; Twin Daughters, Kelly “Punkin” Williams & husband, Chris and Heather “Princess” Newton & Husband, Dave; Grandchildren, Logan Newton, Hogan Danielson, Tatum Newton, Patience Williams and Diezel Danielson all of DeRidder, LA; Step-mother, Sandy Anderson of Tomball, TX; Sisters, Lisa Johnson of Houston, TX and Robin Hansen of Arizona and a host of other family and friends.
