Charles D. "Doug" Link's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles D. “Doug” Link, 73, of Rosepine, LA, will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013, 3:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA. Officiating will be Rev. George Lee Glass. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 13, 2013, 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, April 14, 2013, noon until the time of the service at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
Doug was born on December 20, 1939, in Martinsburg, WV. He was an only child and moved to LA in 1962. He was a veteran of the United States Army working as a personnel specialist. He retired from the U.S. Civil Service at Ft. Polk where he held many supervisory positions, with his last being at the Army Rec. Center at Toledo Bend Lake. Doug loved fishing with his family and helping rear his grandchildren. He was a sober recovering alcoholic with a sobriety date of November 11, 1978. Doug passed from this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Leesville, LA.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Baggett Link of Rosepine, LA; 2 daughters, Debra Czudek and husband David and Paula Nall and husband David, both of Rosepine, LA; 5 grandchildren, David Czudek and wife Alyssa, Susan Victor and husband Trey, Michael Czudek and wife Heather, Brittany LaCaze and husband Philip, Amber Yielding and husband Daniel and 9 great grandchildren.
