Charles C.D. Dixon's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles “C.D.” Dixon, 95 of Leesville will be Saturday, May 10th at 1:00PM at Mount Olive Baptist Church on 808 Anacoco Street in Leesville with Rev. C. Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00PM on Friday, May 9 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Leesville.
C.D. Dixon passed away Friday, May 2 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. He was born to the union of Joe and Lillie Dixon on May 18, 1912 in Pickering, Louisiana. Deacon Charles Dixon was an active, faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church until his health declined. He waroked as a carpenter and brick mason during his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Pearl Dixon; mother, Lillie Dixon; sisters, Edna Wilmore, Ella Mullen, Stella Jackson; niece, Earnie Mae Davis; granddaughter, Veronica Sams; and great grandson, Lawerence Powell.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Barbara Stephens, Pastor Carolyn Anderson and husband Frank, Yvonne Louis and husband Willie all of Leesville; two nieces, Maxine Walker of Beaumont, Texas, Faye Foster of Leesville, Louisiana; and nephew, Leroy Jackson of Leesville, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
