Memorial services for Charles David Crim, Sr., 71, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 19, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Mr. Crim passed from this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at his residence.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, January 19, 2015, at the funeral in DeRidder prior to the service.
Charles was born on Friday, December 31, 1943 at Tuscaloosa, AL to George Herman and Flora Mae Edmonds Crim. He retired from the United States Army as a Command Sergeant Major after 30 years of service. He served his country in Viet Nam and all over the world. He was formally a Mason and enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by 2 sons, Charles D. Crim, Jr. and wife Araceli of Denton, TX and Anthony B. Crim and wife Amy Ferguson of New Orleans, LA; 1 daughter, Angela Mauras and husband David Derosa of Monroe, NY; 2 brothers, Calvin and Roy Crim and 4 sisters, Brenda Stewart, Louise Smith, Janice Gunter and Shirley Hurst, all of Alabama; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elliott, J.R. Mauras and Charles Crim, III and 2 great grandchildren, William Mauras and Aiden Elliott. Mr. Crim is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Faye Crim.
