Charles Vernon Cook's Obituary
Services for Mr. Cook were held Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. He was born in England, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, retiring as an SFC E-7. He served two tours in Vietnam, and tours in Germany, Korea and Indonesia. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Retired Military Post No. 387 in New Llano. He worked for B. G. Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 5 years Emma Cook of Leesville; eight sons, Charles Vernon Cook, Jr. and wife Kathy of Leesville, Jerry Lee Cook and wife Marci of Leesville, James Dale Cook and wife Criss of Leesville, Robert Eugene Cook of Topeka, KS, Jeff Zachary and wife Judy of Aiken, SC, Andrew Lowe and wife Virginia of Bridge City, TX, Steve Jackson and wife Trudy of Leesville, and Johnny Jacob and wife Kay of Mt. Oregon, OR; two brothers, Bill Cook of Bald Knob, AR, and Roger Handley of Bruelson, TN; three sisters, Polly Chandler of Searcy, AR, Marie Lou Archer of Little Rock, AR, and Mary Marcrum of Rosebud, AR; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild
