Charles William Cole's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles William Cole, 78, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Craig Furque officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3rd from 5:30 pm - 9 pm, then Friday, October 4th, from 8 am until service time in the chapel.
Charles, the son of William Alexandria and Winnie Euna Bridges Cole was born March 7, 1935, in Peason, LA. He passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in DeRidder, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charles “Bill” William Cole.
Mr. Cole served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He formerly owned and operated The “Y” Grocery Store & C W Convent Store in Leesville. He worked for Hormel Meat in Shreveport for a number of years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, and was a Mason. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville; where he was a supportive member of the T.V. Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his daughter, Monette Mathews of Stonewall, LA; brother, James Cole of Leesville; sisters, Marjorie Pollard of Leesville, Ruth Dixon of Bossier City, LA and Ada Lou Hayman of Leesville and granddaughter, Lindsey Cole.
