Cecil Corney Jeane was born on July 26, 1943, to Evelyn & Corney Jeane. He left this life on November 30, 2011, at his residence, surrounded by love at the age of 68 yrs. old.
He gave and left so many memories of "A Dad", “A Brother", “A Paw Paw", “Uncle” and a "A Best Friend" to us all. Memories of going to the river and the camp will never be forgotten. Nor his famous River Camp T-shirt (spelling Corney backwards), that everyone wanted, but only a few got. His love for the guitar was heard by all who knew him...And man could he make one talk! Most will never forget that he taught them their first cord. Sitting around a camp fire just pickin' some old songs, always seemed to get everyone's attention. His perfection began by playin' with the "Jivin' Juvenile's" - James Wesley Jeane, Roger Dale Jeane, and Billy Wayne Craft.
Cecil, as we knew him was definetly a kidder. Some remember when he was in school, the teacher asked him to define "illegal". He said it was "a sick bird". When the teacher said, “a sick bird", he said, “yeah, and ill-eagle". That same sense of humor we remember stayed with him down through the years. He once had a dog that he hadn't named yet, and everybody kept asking him "have you named her yet"...so one day he did...he named the dog "Namer".
He loved deer huntin', goin' fishin', raisin' chicken's, checkin' his hog traps at the camp, and spending time with his family and closest friends. He loved seeing his grandkids - Austen, Shauna, and Ben-Ben. They lit up his life...And he proved that by buying a computer in his 60's, just to surf the internet and talk to them. He was definetly a farmer...He loved his tractor so much, that one time he made Roy help him plant 30 rows of peas for us all to pick! Every Sunday you could find him watchin' the Nascar races with James Michael...he never missed them. He loved having everybody over to watch the Saints play. An advice giver - boy was he! It didn't matter what the question was, he knew the answer to it. Everybody always went to him...they just confided in him. Funny stories and amazing memories will always stay with us, and we will have them to keep and cherish forever.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Candee Lyn Jeane; parents, Evelyn & Corney Jeane and brothers, Roy Jeane & James Wesley Jeane.
He is survived by his two sons, Roy Jeane of Evans, LA & Mark David Jeane of Forney, TX; one daughter, Jennie Jeane of Evans, LA; two sisters, Betty Miller of Evans, LA and Nancy Jarrell of Evans, LA and three grandchildren, Austen Jeane, Benjamin “Ben-Ben” Hamm and Shauna Jeane.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Craft, Randal Smith, Austen Jeane, Vaughn “Bubba” Kay, Michael Molander, Clifford D. Smith, Joey Jeane, James Michael Jeane, Levi Jarrell, Tay Tay Miller and Janis Michalk.
