Carrie Ruth Pruitt's Obituary
Carrie Ruth Pruitt, 86, a beloved mother, devoted Christian, and cherished member of the Anacoco Pentecostal Church, passed away on December 1, 2024, in Anacoco, Louisiana. She was born in Anacoco, Louisiana, on March 29, 1938, to her parents, Gus and Daisy Plummer.
Carrie's life was a shining example of unwavering faith and selfless service. Her marriage to Mark Allen Pruitt of Anacoco, Louisiana, was a beautiful union that inspired all who knew them and lasted for 50 years.
She was the best mom ever, her love for her family was boundless. Carrie's love for the ministry was next to none. She loved her pastor and was always honest and dependable. Her wisdom and compassion touched countless lives, and her fervent prayers were a source of strength for the congregation.
Her commitment to serving others was unwavering and extended beyond the church walls. She was known as a prayer warrior who selflessly put others' needs before her own. Her compassionate spirit made her the first to step forward when there were needs within her community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, at Anacoco Pentecostal Church at 4637 Main St., Anacoco, Louisiana, starting at 5:30 p.m.,
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Anacoco Pentecostal Church, 4637 Main St., Anacoco, Louisiana. The service will be officiated by Rev. Rod Buller, Rev. C.W. Dowden, Rev. Gary Bankston, Rev. Shannon Buxton, Rev. Cole Weeks, Rev. Shane Freeman, Rev. Damon Plummer, and Rev. Les Comeaux. Under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, the interment will take place at Mitchell Cemetery, Anacoco, Louisiana.
While we mourn this profound loss here on earth, we find solace in knowing that she has been called home by our Heavenly Father, whom she has faithfully served.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Pruitt and wife Debbie of Pickering, Louisiana, and Bobby Pruitt of Anacoco, Louisiana. One granddaughter, Savannah Sue Thomas, and husband, Steven, of Rosepine, Louisiana. One great-granddaughter, Malania, who was the apple of her eye. Her sister, Ima Lou Cavanaugh of Shreveport, Louisiana . Numerous friends whose lives have been forever changed by knowing such an extraordinary woman.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Allen Pruitt, Her son, Jerry Mark Pruitt, and daughter, Ramona Lou Pruitt.
