Carl Stanley Peecher's Obituary
Graveside services for Carl Stanley Peecher, 92, of Leesville, LA , will be held at 1:30 January 29, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, with Bro. Craig Forque officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, from 11:30am – 1:15pm at the funeral home in Leesville.
Carl was born on February 21, 1929 in Pittsfield, Illinois to Chester and Florine Davis Peecher. He passed away on Thursday January 20, 2022 at his home in Leesville. Carl moved to the New Llano Colony in 1930. He worked for KCS Railroad for 36 years, starting as a fireman and working his way up to locomotive engineer. Carl was also a World War II Navy Veteran. He spent some of his time flying his plane, and he was known for being able to fix anything.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and the love of his life, Dorothy Jordan Peecher, second wife June McClain Peecher, 3 brothers, Robert Peecher, Roy Peecher, Lyndle Peecher and sister Francis Karamales.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Monica Matthews of Bossier City, LA and Carla Gouthiere and husband Robert of Haughton, LA. Four grandchildren Eric Ezell, Amanda Stroope, Sabrina Hardy Smith and Stacie Holland. Six great grandchildren Bryson Stroope, Carson Smith, Brady Smith, Jake Ezell, Owen Holland and John Michael Ezell.
A very special thanks to Companion Care and the many wonderful caregivers and supervisors that helped so much in daddy’s care. Also, Heart of Hospice caregivers who met his every need in his last days.
