Bruce Arnold Legg's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Arnold Legg who departed this life on March 18, 2025, at the age 67. Bruce was born on June 5, 1957, in Leesville, Louisiana to Bill and Sadie Legg.
Bruce as a man of few words but his easygoing nature and infectious smile made everyone around him feel like a friend. He was a private person, not one to gossip or speak ill of others and he always approached life with a generous heart. His friends and family will remember him as a man with a huge heart and always a smile on his face.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Bill Legg and his son Justin Bruce Legg, and his daughter by love, Kelly.
He is survived by his mother, Sadie Stermer of Leesville, Louisiana and his siblings: his sisters, Barbra Cart, and her husband Harry, and Deborah Shealy, and her husband Hank, and his brother, William Darrell Legg, all of Leesville. He is also survived by his grandson, Dallas Wayne Chance, and his daughter by love, Brandy.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years, often hunting and fishing every chance he got. As time passed, he spent time in his garden, cooking for everyone, and spending time with his buddies. These simple pleasures brought him great joy.
A funeral service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held on March 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Castor Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the Service. Rev. C.W. Dowden and Rev. Robin Fletcher will officiate under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Castor Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
