Brian Anthony DeHoven's Obituary
Brian DeHoven, 32, of Rosepine, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home on July 23, 2025.
Brian was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kind heart, quick wit, and joyful spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing football with his nephew, hosting engaging podcasts, and spending countless evenings around the table enjoying board games with his closest friends. His laughter was infectious, and his presence brought comfort, humor, and light wherever he went. Brian had a unique gift for making people laugh—his humor, timing, and playful spirit could brighten even the darkest day.
Though he was not a father, Brian embraced his role as an uncle with love, energy, and pride. He was a constant and uplifting presence in the lives of his nieces and nephews, cheering them on, playing alongside them, and guiding them with gentle wisdom and endless affection.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lisa DeHoven, and father, Alexander DeHoven; his sisters, Brittany (Marvin) Love and Kristen DeHoven and; and his brother, Zachary DeHoven. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Maleah Love, Leahna Love, Kai DeHoven, Masiah Love, and Islah Love. Brian’s love for his family was unwavering, and he was a source of encouragement, pride, and strength to those closest to him.
Brian’s legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, creativity, and compassion. He will be remembered for his thoughtful conversations, his love of storytelling, and especially for the way he made everyone laugh and feel truly seen.
A memorial service to honor Brian’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, at 5:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
