Bonnie Lee Dahlman's Obituary
Funeral services for Bonnie Lee Dahlman, 74, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 4, 2022 in the Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church of Leesville with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5:00 P.M– 8:00 P.M with a Rosary at 6:30 P.M. in the funeral home.
Bonnie L. (Doyle) Dahlman of Leesville, Louisiana passed away peacefully from this life on January 28, 2022. Bonnie was born July 16, 1947 to Norman and Maudie Doyle in Elizabeth, Louisiana. She grew up in Pitkin and went to school in Plainview. She met and fell in love with Greg Dahlman while he was in the Army and they married in 1975
She raised a son, Paul and daughter, Terri. Her family came first and she loved caring for them as a mother and wife for 46 years. She retired with 40 years from Fort Polk as a Personnel Clerk and took pride in serving for “Our Soldiers” as she called them. Bonnie enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; James D. Doyle, Carroll W. Doyle, brother-in-law; T.J Normand.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Gregory P. Dahlman, son; Paul C. Dahlman, daughter; Terri D. and Phillip Tarpley, sisters; Goldie M. Doyle, Darlene Normand, brother & sister-in-laws; Clifton and Sharon Dahlman, Bruce and Karen Dahlman, Betty Kreuter, nieces & nephews; Julie and Keith Turner, Lisa and Kirk Giles, Joanne and Mark Prochnow, Jimmy Kreuter, Tommy and Sarah Kreuter, grandsons; Alex Tarpley, Simon Tarpley, step-grandsons; Gabriel Tarpley, Ethan Tarpley.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Clifton Dahlman, Bruce Dahlman, Keith Turner, Kirk Giles, Ray Ortiz, Phillip Tarpley. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Tarpley, Simon Tarpley, Roy Thompson and Damon Johnson.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made to Ochsner Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana.
