Bobby Franklin Steadman's Obituary
Funeral services for Bobby Franklin Steadman, 82, of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Revs. Tommy Crosby & James Kay officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2019, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
Bobby was born on November 10, 1936 in Bankhead, Alabama to his parents, Archie and Earline Knight Steadman. He passed away on March 2, 2019, in the St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
Bobby resided in Alabama until he joined the Army in October 1961 as a Colonel’s personal driver of USA TC Infantry. He was the owner and manager of Steadman Construction for over 40 years and was an integral part of buildings in Ft. Polk including BJACH Hospital and Class 6. Bobby was a past member and Property Manager of the Leesville Lion’s Club and was chosen as Lion of the Year in 1999. He was a lifetime member of Victory Baptist Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and Leslie Steadman.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years: Ellie Sue Steadman; Sister: Lula Mae Steadman Myers; Sister-in-law: Flo Steadman; Two Brother-in-law’s: Roxy West and Kem West; Four Children: Jerry Luttrull, Dana Whittington, Glenn Luttrull, and Shonda Veronie; Twelve Grandchildren; Nephew: Chuck Myers.
