Billy Ray McDaniel, 66, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in DeRidder, LA. Billy, the son of Alfred LeRoy McDaniel and Joyce Haymon McDaniel was born on April 16, 1954, in Merryville, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, April 6, 2021; from 12:00 PM until Funeral Service begins at 3:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church, 122 Martin Luther King Drive in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Daniel Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Billy loved to cook and bar-b-que. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting and most of all sitting on his porch watching the birds and cat.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Billy Joe McDaniel and wife Ashley of Wake Forest, NC, April Renee McDaniel of Erwin, NC, Courtney Lynn Dickens and husband Julian of Raleigh, NC, Miranda Veber of Orlando, FL, Misty Leann Holt and husband Clint of Nacogdoches, TX, Amber Bene’t King and husband Orlando of Lake Charles, LA; companion-girlfriend Karen Sue Johnson of DeRidder, LA; siblings Alice Langton of Lake Charles, LA, Thomas Hughes of New Lano, LA, Le Veda McDaniel of DeRidder, LA; and eleven grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his father, Alfred LeRoy McDaniel, mother Joyce Haymon McDaniel and wife Agnes Annell.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Jamie Maddox, Micah Maddox, Mitchell Henry, Raymond Rutherford, Jonathan Johnson and Orlando King.
