Billy, our friend, allowed our daughter, Catherine to work in his shop one summer and taught her to cut men’s hair. She loved Billy and Phil and the other men in the shop Phil with wit (dang gum ole rabbit) was a bonus. To this day she talks of her time at Billy’ shop She became a cosmetologist. Billy and I remained life long friends from 1st grade to forever. God did a good job when he made Billy.
Just being around Billy’s positive spirit always lifted me up!! The memories of him giving my grandchildren their first haircut —-especially, the one who came from ENGLAND to get his 1st haircut!
Loved his shop. It should have been written up in a magazine.
My favortie memory was the morning my electricity went out after I had already washed my hair
While dressing for work. What to do? Called Billy. He hadn’t opened up shop, but said to come by and he would style my hair.

Really sad to hear & condolences to the Lewis family. What a wonderful man & great business Billy built, a tradition that not only spanned generations but provided me & I know thousands wonderful memories. Going into Billy's to get a haircut was not only a tradition but always a great time. He was a gentleman, courteous & professional. A trip to Billy's was something you looked forward to & I will never forget especially talking with Billy & listening to Phil's Coon hunting stories.

Billy Lewis was such a special man to the Mayeaux’s. Mr. Billy and Ms. Ann hold a special place in the hearts of the Mayeaux family. Dad described Mr. Billy as an honest, hard working man who loved his family and his Lord! He was a man of great character. Dad valued Mr. Billy as a true friend. Our family will surely miss Mr. Billy. We will keep the Lewis family in our hearts and prayers. All our luv.

Michele and I are saddened to learn of this. Billy was a great neighbor and friend. He meant so much to me and I truly looked up to him. I will never forget the kindness and love that Billy showed every time you went into the barbershop, and I got my haircut by him. His kindness and thoughtfulness and consideration was always there always had a smile always had a kind word and never never turned you away I will always remember Mr. Bailey’s kindness and my condolences.
