Billy Luzon Cryer's Obituary
Billy Luzon Cryer, age 70, of Rosepine, LA, passed away at his home with his husband by his side.
Husband of Charles (Chuck) Snyder, Bill was born in Leesville, LA on April 18, 1952. Billy, who’s family refers to him as Luzon, his middle name, was the youngest of four children. Preceded in death by his parents Wid Cryer and Adel Cryer neé Nash, late of Rosepine and his brother David Larry Cryer, Sr.
Survivors include sister Betty Marie Leger of Cleburne, Texas; brother James Edward Cryer and wife Tammie of Leesville. Other survivors included many cherished and loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Billy worked hard to make a name for himself in the Graphics and Advertising industry. He began his career in Atlanta, Georgia working at Type Designs, Inc. where he honed his craft, eventually heading the creative and production team. He went on to start his own firm, Picas & Points Design & Production Studio. After several years in Atlanta, he moved to Dallas, Texas where his career really took off. He took online classes from Villanova University receiving three Certifications in Project Management and Process Development. He had worked his way up to the position of Production Manager at Rapp Collins Worldwide in Irving, Texas where he worked on accounts such as Dell Computer.
In 1996 he met Chuck Snyder at a Country Western dance hall. It was an instant attraction for them both and began a union lasting twenty-seven years.
Family members and friends are welcome to join us for a memorial for Billy Luzon Cryer at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, Louisiana on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.
