Funeral services for Billie Reeves Morrison Kite, 86, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 10 A. M.,Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in the First Baptist Church in DeRidder with Rev. Jerry Masters officiating. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Mrs. Kite passed away Monday, December 28, 2009, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder and from 9 A.M. until time of the service, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in the First Baptist Church in DeRidder.
Mrs. Kite was born in Reeves, LA, and grew up in DeQuincy, LA, where she was a graduate of DeQuincy High School. She had resided in DeRidder since 1953. She was a former partner in CBG automobile dealership in DeRidder. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in DeRidder and a charter member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in DeQuincy. She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter #34 in DeQuincy.
She is survived by one son, Blayne Kite and wife Karen of DeRidder; one daughter, Roxie Shirley and husband Kendall of Kingswood, TX; one brother, Fred Reeves, Jr. of DeQuincy, LA; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bud Morrison, second husband, George Kite, parents, Fred and Suzanne Reeves, and sisters, Velma Cole, Evon Parker and Arlene Reeves.
