Billie Ruth Lindsey Trent's Obituary
Funeral services for Billie Ruth Lindsey Trent, 86, of DeRidder, LA will be Wednesday, February 7, 2010, in Grace Church in DeRidder with Rev. George L. Glass, Jr., Rev. George Lee Glass and Rev. Jimmy Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Billie passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 in Rapides Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Born in DeQuincy, LA, she lived most of her life in DeRidder. She was retired from the U. S. Civil Service at Ft. Polk, LA, where she was a civilian payroll supervisor. She was a member of Grace Church in DeRidder, a charter President of the Pink Ladies at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, an avid golfer and a charter member of the Beauregard Country Club.
She is survived by two sons, Charles H. Trent and wife Mary Olga of Lafayette, LA, and Billy L. Trent of Alexandria; one grandson, Brandon C. Trent of Baton Rouge, three granddaughters, Heather Trent of Austin, TX, Mia and Lindsey Trent of Alexandria, and great grandson Kayden Trent of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Trent, Jr., and parents, Charles “Charlie” and Ollie Mae Groves Lindsey.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Brandon Charles Trent, Rev. George L. Glass, Jr., Rev. Jimmy Glass, Jerry Shirley, Danny Tilton, Danny Tatum and Theron Pfantz.
Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 7 P.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, and from 10 A.M. until time of the service, Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Grace Church in DeRidder.
