Billie E. Dowden's Obituary
Funeral services for Billie E. Dowden, 77, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Bro. Doug Hilton and Bro. Nickey Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 5 pm until time of service at the church.
Billie, the son of Jiles Joseph and Inez West Dowden was born on July 4, 1933, in Hornbeck, Louisiana. He passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jiles Joseph Dowden and brothers, Bobby & Glen Dowden.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Dowden of Hornbeck; son, Steven Dowden of Florien; daughters, Brenda & Doug Hilton of Hornbeck & Rita & Nickey Hilton of Hornbeck; mother, Inez West Dowden of Hornbeck; brother, Charles Dowden of Hornbeck; sisters, Mablene Kelly of Bethany, LA & Joy Hyatt of Hornbeck; grandchildren, Jason & Jeanette Hilton, Amy & Michael Lightsey, Jeremy & Lindsay Hilton, Jacob & Kaci Hilton, Aaron & Ashley Dowden & Whitley & Blake Bowling and great grandchildren, Joey Hilton, Ryleigh Hilton, Noah Lightsey, Gavin Lightsey, Madison Dowden, Madex Dowden & Ace Bowling.
