Beverly Stracner Johnson Cantrell's Obituary
Graveside services for Beverly Stracener Johnson Cantrell, 55, will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, August 6, 2010, in Smyrna Cemetery near Sugartown, Louisiana, with Rev. Frank Ott officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Mrs. Cantrell passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, in DeRidder Retirement and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Cantrell was born in DeRidder and was a lifelong resident of the DeRidder/Sugartown area. She formerly worked for CAAC and was a nurse’s aide in DeRidder.
She is survived by one son Robert Johnson, Jr. and wife Jeannie of DeRidder; daughter, Janet Moore and husband Chris of Lake Charles, LA; step-daughter, Trish Whittington of Pollock, LA; brothers, Bill Stracener and wife Darlene, Bobby Stracener and wife Tracey, both of DeRidder, and Benny Stracener of Lake Charles, LA; brother-in-law, James Allemang of Ragley, LA; seven grandchildren, Kathryn LaComb, Grant LaComb, Tyler Moore, Travis Moore, all of Lake Charles, James “JR” Johnson, Summer Rose, and Patrick Rose, all of DeRidder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cantrell, mother, Dorothy Stracener Smith and father, Beaver Ray Stracener, and sister, Joyce Allemang. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of choice in her memory.
