Ms. Betty will forever be in our hearts
Ms. Summitt was my piano teacher and was very, very, very patient with me! I remember those piano recitals well. One year she gave each student a Christmas ornament. My ornament was a gold star with my name on it. Each Christmas when I hang it on the tree I remember those piano lessons and Ms. Summitt. She was a precious lady. My deepest sympathies to her family.
I am very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was truly a classy lady who's absence will be felt by all who knew her. My thoughts will be with the Summitt family in the days and months to come.
I did not know Betty personally. A dear friend informed me of her passing and sent me her obituary. Reading about her life reminded me of my grandmother. I admire Betty's commitment to Faith and her approach to life -- 'Live, laugh and love'. God's Blessings to the family.
I was one of Betty's Monahans, Texas High School friends, but only have seen each other at occasional reunions since then. My sympathy is to the family at this difficult time. I know she'll be missed by all.
I will miss Ms. Betty so much and our time together eating lunch after church.
