Betty Louise Mansell's Obituary
Funeral services for Betty Louise Mansell, 86, of Deridder, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday December 1, 2022 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 05:00 P.M- 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, December 1st from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Betty was born on October 26, 1936 in DeRidder, Louisiana to her parents, E. F. “Bill” and Grace Lanier. She passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Betty worked for Hall & Coltharp and Hall, Coltharp & Lestage and Deputy Clerk of Court under Robert B. Nichols, Ronald L. Nichols and Brian S. Lestage.
She was a lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church, along with her entire immediate family, to include her mother, father, and sisters. Having moved to Ludington Baptist Church for a few years and then back to Temple, where she was Treasurer for many years.
Betty’s life was her work as a legal secretary and later deputy clerk and her faith and her church, Temple Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Mansell; son, Tapen Wayne Moses; parents, E.F. “Bill” and Grace Lanier and sisters, Winona McDonald and Virginia Medeiros.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Laramore of Baton Rouge, Cathy and Dennis Hennesey of DeRidder, Lisa Petrasic of Dallas and Tracie and Mike Mathis of DeRidder; sons, Lakin Moses of Houston, and Kenneth Mansell of Leesville; sister, Rebecca Clouse of DeRidder;10 grandchildren, Samantha, Landon, Aaron, Ellison, Elizabeth, Jason, Kristen, Michelle, Justin & Jacob and 7 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Daltyn, Charlie, Connor, Myla, Eli & Lexi.
