Graveside services for Betty Jean Buell Williamson, 82, of DeRidder, LA, will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 2 P.M. in Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA with Rev. Dr. David Holden officiating. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation will begin at 10 A.M., Thursday, March 28, 2013, until 1 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
Betty Jean was born on July 4, 1930, to Herbert Dickerson Buell and Laura Margaret Smith Buell in Turon, KS. She was reared in Rosepine, LA, and lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA., and was formerly employed at Holly Hill Nursing Home where she was a CNA. Betty jean passed from this life on Friday, March 22, 2013, in Westwood Manor Nursing Home in DeRidder.
Survivors include sons Elwin Davis Williamson and wife Nathaline of Sherborn, MA, Terry Gene Williamson and wife Pam of Carlyss, LA, and Jarvis DeVere Williamson of Lake Charles, LA; five brothers, Herbert Dickerson Buell of Riverside, TX, Delbert Buell of Sulphur, LA, Raymond Buell of Rosepine, LA, James Buell of Rosharon, TX, and Jerry Buell of DeRidder, LA; sister, Wilma Richmond of DeRidder; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Warren Lee Buell and sister, Shirley Ann Strong.
