Bettie L Flanagan's Obituary
In memory of Bettie L. Flanagan of DeRidder, Louisiana who went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Bettie, 88, is survived by her loving son, Gary Flanagan, and devoted sister, Dottie Steltzlen of DeRidder, LA.
She had immediate family in her life of brother, Henry Currie of Baton Rouge, LA and niece, Lynn S. Yano and her husband, Bert Yano from Colorado Springs, and nephew, Jeff Steltzlen and his wife, Theresa of The Woodlands, Texas.
Bettie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles C. Flanagan and beloved son, Ronald R. Flanagan, both of Mobile, AL. She was always excited by thoughts of her grandchildren, Chrissie and Melissa Flanagan, children of Ron; and Kenneth, Ricky, and Christopher Flanagan, children of Gary.
Bettie delighted in memories of her long life with husband, Charles F. Flanagan who passed away in 1974, and John David Miller, Jr. of Alabama, loving husband she married in the late 70’s who passed away in 2016. John’s children Eddie and Embry Miller survive in the Mobile, AL area she lived in for some 40 years.
Bettie chose cremation and her caring church family of Bilbo Church of Christ in DeRidder and immediate family will be advising of pending memorial service.
November 7, 2018, 11 AM to 12 PM, there will be a small Memorial Celebration of Bettie’s life for immediate family and those who knew her at Labby Memorial Funeral Home’s “State Room” in DeRidder, Louisiana.
The family wants to thank all for so many well wishes.
