Bessie Mae Baggett's Obituary
Funeral services for Bessie Mae Baggett, 84, of DeRidder, LA, will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, DeRidder, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Louis Guy. Burial will follow in Starlight Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, May 4, 2013, 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM, at the church.
Bessie Mae was born on May 24, 1928, to Jessie and Mary Smith, in Merryville, LA. She lived most of her life in DeRidder where she was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. She loved her God, her family and she loved to cook for her loved ones. Bessie passed from this life on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in DeRidder, LA.
Survivors include 2 sons, Randy R. Baggett, Sr. and wife Sandra and Stephen Baggett, all of DeRidder, LA; 1 daughter, Rose Mary Rios and husband Victor of Charlotte, NC; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Royan Baggett.
