Bertha Lea Weeks' Obituary
Bertha Lea Weeks was born on April 24, 1949 in Hornbeck, Louisiana to Walter D. and Mattie J. West Sterling. She passed away on December 13, 2025 in Many, Louisiana.
Mrs. Weeks retired as LPN. She loved flowers, plants and raising tomatoes. She enjoyed reading, watching her favorite TV shows, shopping and old time Hymns. Bertha was a loving mother and grandmother, who always put her family first. She especially loved her great grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Mattie Sterling; brothers, Huey P. Sterling, Bill Sterling, and Henry Sterling and sisters, Matti Manes and Ann Dean.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Joseph Weeks of Hornbeck, brother, Huey M. Stidivent of Texas; grandchildren, William Weeks, Sean Weeks and Trace Foote and great grandchildren, Everleigh Vantassel and Ryder Weeks.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 12: 00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Bro. John Lewing officiating Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on December 16th from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are William Weeks, Sean Weeks, Jerry Sterling, Terry Sterling, Jake Merriman and Freddie Manes. Honored to serve as honorary pallbearer is Trace Foote.
