Bernadine Lydia Johnson Heard's Obituary
Bernadine Lydia Johnson Heard, 86, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
She was born June 26, 1923 in Fullerton, Louisiana and was DeRidder, resident for 67 years.
She retired after 25 years with City Savings Bank. She was a member of First Baptist Church Joy Singers. Bernadine was a member of the Beauregard Memorial Hospital “Pink Ladies” for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lindsey L. Heard, one daughter, Lydia Jane McLamore and husband Bob of Deridder; 2 grandchildren, Gretchen Jane McLamore Levine and husband, LTC Mark S. Levine of Camp Humphry, South Korea; Shane McLamore and wife Tara of DeRidder, 5 great grand grandchildren, Sarah Jane Levine, Lance Robert Levine, Carter Rollins McLamore, Cruz Katherine McLamore and Robert Shane McLamore.
She was preceded in death by her parents Riley S. and Lydia Johnson; one sister Audry Jordan; and two brothers Burl Johnson and Girvus Johnson.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, with Rev. Doyle Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder. Visitations will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 26th at the funeral home.
