Bennie Sanders' Obituary
Funeral services for Bennie Sanders, 82, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Rev. John Norway officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 25th from 3 pm until service time in the church.
Bennie, the son of Canaan and Elma Jett Sanders was born October 25, 1931, in Hornbeck. He passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013, at his residence in Hornbeck.
Mr. Sanders retired as a mechanic from Omstead in Beaumont, Texas; he also worked as a Role Play Supervisor with Cubic. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Bennie loved gardening and was an avid deer hunter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Betty Sanders of Hornbeck, LA; sons, Darrell Sanders & wife, Colleen of Deer Park, TX, Terry Lambright & wife Annette of Vidor, TX, Larry Lambright of Crystal Beach, TX & Michael Lambright of Vidor, TX; daughters, Tina McKissic & husband, David of Garland, TX, Glenda Philman & husband, Ray of Vidor, TX & Donna Felton & husband, Michael of Hornbeck, LA; brothers, Larry Sanders & wife Wanda of Vidor, TX & Lannice Sanders & wife Fran of Hornbeck, LA and sisters, Donnis Chance of Vidor, TX; Verna Mae Ford of Hornbeck, LA; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
