Benjamin "Junior" Allbritton's Obituary
Funeral services for Benjamin “Junior” Allbritton, 81, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Poe and Rev. Shawn Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 22nd from 5 pm – until time of service in the church.
Benjamin, the son of Benjamin Franklin Allbritton, Sr., and Mamie Myrtle Spurgeon Allbritton was born December 27, 1931, in Leander. He passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013, in Alexandria.
Junior was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and former business owner. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He loved to be outside, especially in his garden. He was a very loving and caring man always putting his family first. He loved to share his stories about “the good ole days” especially to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Doris Jean Merchant Allbritton of Leesville; son, George Allbritton of Leesville; daughters, Jeanette Gordy & husband, Robert of Leesville, Linda Golemon & husband, C W of Glenmora and Pam Stunkard & husband Greg of Leesville twelve grandchildren and nineteen grandchildren.
Special thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Rapides General Hospital and the family members that helped take care of him during his time of illness.
