Mrs. BenEtta Plummer Yerby's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. BenEtta Plummer Yerby, 82, will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012, 11:00 AM, First Baptist Church of DeRidder, LA. Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery. Minister officiating will be Rev. Lindsey Burns.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 16, 2012, 5:00PM until 9:00 PM, Labby Memorial Funeral Home and Friday, 10:00 AM, prior to the service at the church.
She passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at her residence in DeRidder, LA
Survivors include her 3 sons, Ben Ellis Yerby and wife Deb of Tomball, TX, John Hardy Yerby, Jr. and wife Susan of DeRidder, LA and James Franklin Yerby and wife Doni of Joplin, MO; 1 brother, John Plummer of San Diego, CA and 1 granddaughter, Nancy Elizabeth Yerby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hardy Yerby, Sr. and one brother, James Plummer.
BenEtta was born in Ranger Texas to Ben Ellis Plummer and Una Allen Plummer. After graduating from nursing school, she was employed at various medical facilities which included the Baptist Hospital in DeRidder. She was also employed as a school nurse with the Beauregard Parish School Board and she was a member of First Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
