Beamon Douglas Midkiff's Obituary
Visitation for Beamon Douglas Midkiff, 89, of DeRidder, Louisiana, will be Thursday, July 12, 2018. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with the funeral following at 1:00 pm at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA. Internment will immediately follow at Lewis Cemetery.
Beamon was born on April 19, 1929 in Rosepine Louisiana. He passed away on Friday, May 06, 2018, in DeRidder, LA.
He married Elmira Lewis on April 11, 1959. They were married for 54 years. He lived his entire life in the Rosepine, Lake Charles, and DeRidder area, and worked for Boise Southern paper mill for many years and retired there. He served that company honorably and held various positions of responsibility. Beamon is fondly remembered as a family man, and one who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and all kinds of outdoor activities. He was light hearted and fun to be around. He was a veteran, serving his country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his three daughters, Rhonda L. Maxey (Paul) of Rogers, AR, Ramona L. Lambert (Steve) of DeRidder, LA; and Karen F. Midkiff of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elmira L. Midkiff, and 7 siblings.
