Beadie Mae "Leigh" Wimberly's Obituary
Memorial services for Beadie Mae “Leigh” Reneau Wimberly, 75, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. – until service time Friday, February 1st, at the funeral home.
It is of great sorrows and broken hearts that we say goodbye to our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Beadie Mae “Leigh” Reneau Wimberly. Her life began in Foulke, Arkansas on April 18, 1937, blessing the home of Woodrow and Grace Winkley Reneau and ended with a visit from angels on Sunday, January 20, 2013, in Leesville, LA.
She grew up in Troup, Texas and was an “A” student in Troup High School, Yeah Tigers. She graduated from Tyler Texas College.
Beadie met her husband in Jacksonville, TX in April 1955. Elbert “Bill” and Beadie “Leigh” were married in December 1956.
She leaves behind her husband, Elbert “Bill” Wimberly of Leesville; daughters, Stephanie Elaine Wimberly Davis of Leesville and Lael Rouyn Wimberly Alston of Winchester, VA; son, Jeffery Scott Wimberly of Leesville; grandchildren; Bradley and Morgan Davis and Jessica Marie Carter of Northfolk, VA and great grandson John.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Grace Reneau and brother, Billy Wayne Reneau.
She was well educated and all who knew her would seek her advice for their everyday needs, knowing that they would always be welcomed.
She was an Army wife for 27 years having lived in France, Germany, Italy, Hawaii and the United States while being a wife & mother. She also worked in Civil Service. When they retired from the Army, she and Bill started their own insurance agency in Leesville, LA, Financial Strategies and they did very well and retired in 1996. Leigh was an active member of the Rotary& Pilot and served as Finance Officer. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revelation.
Leigh is loved deeply by all her family and it is of great sorrow that we now say so long, we will see you soon.
