Barbara Ann's Obituary
Funeral service for Barbara R. Jones (76) of Leesville, LA will be held Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Pinehill Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Blackmon officiating and Bro. Mark Christian assisting. Burial will follow in the Pinehill Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 5PM for family and 5 PM to 9 PM for friends on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at Pinehill Baptist Church.
Barbara, the daughter of Rev. Johnnie and Fanniebell (Wester) Rhodes was born December 27, 1940 in Many, Louisiana. Barbara passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 in Sparta, MI. A lot of people knew Barbara as "Bobbie." Barbara loved her husband J.P. They were married for 42 years. She dearly loved her children Cindy and Frances; Grandchildren Jason, Nikki and Jake, and great granddaughter Rikeigh Anne. Barbara loved the Lord, her loyalty to Jesus was unwavering. She loved to tell people about "her" God.
Barbara worked for the Army as a Civil Service employee for many years until she took a medical retirement. She was also an Army wife and supported her husband through many deployments. She loved to cook and can but her greatest joy was her family. Being with them was what made her the happiest and serving the Lord.
Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anacoco, Louisiana and previous to that a longtime member of Pinehill Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband J.P. Jones, parents Rev. Johnnie and Fanniebelle Rhodes, one sister, Lorraine Mayfield and one nephew Timothy Broderick.Barbara is survived by her children Cindy Hiaeshutter and husband Rich of Sparta, MI. Frances Howe and husband Rick of Leesville, LA. Sister JohnnieBelle Farrell and husband Jack of Verona, N.J. Grandchildren Jason White of Leesville, LA, Nikki Howe and Levi of Leesville, LA and Jake Hiaeshutter and Shelby of Sparta, MI and great granddaughter Rikeigh Anne Wisby. A host of cousins and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly
