Ashlee Nicole Washington-Telfair's Obituary
Ashlee Nicole Washington-Telfair was born January 25, 1994 to Henry and Barbara Washington in Ft. Hood, Texas. As a child, she gave her life to Christ and served as a member of First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. under the auspices of Rev. James L. Gaither, Jr. On Saturday, August 21, 2021 at AventHealth in Celebration, Florida, she answered the Master’s call.
She was proceeded in death by her grandfathers, Henry L. Washington and Leonard Sorrells, Jr.; aunts, Carolyn Davis, Telitha Sorrells and Jerrun Sorrells; uncles, Leonard E. Sorrells and Marvin Sorrells. She was employed by Primerica as a Financial Specialist. Ashlee is a graduate of Leesville High School, class of 2012. She attended McNeese State University. Later, she became a Certified Phlebotomist. Ashlee enjoyed sports, especially volleyball and had a beautiful singing voice.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of four years, Lakevious Telfair; children, Ashton Belton and Madisen Telfair; parents, Henry and Barbara Washington; parents in-law, Ronnie and Natasha Burroughs; brother, Travis Wyatt; sister-in-law, Chelsia Telfair; brother-n-law, Stanley Telfair; grandmothers, Emma L. Washington, Lee Bertha Sorrells, Mary Doris Bivens; God-mother, Edwina Gammage; God-sisters, Jada Davis, Felita Gammage, Olivia Gammage, Whitney Gammage, Vertie Cohen; God-brother, Frank Gammage; God-daughter, Zora Carter; Aunts, Ava Hollingsworth (Dana), Cynthia Washington, Barbara Davis (John), Elona Washington, Stephany Carter, Linda Sorrells, Arbedella Kimbrough, Lakeisha Sorrells, India Lampton; Uncles, Reginald Washington, Anthony Sorrells, Steven Sorrells, Clifford Bivens, Rico Bivens; Nieces, Ariana Wyatt, Travisia Wyatt; Great[1]aunts, Ethel Holmes, Gertrude Thanar, Lou Ethel Washington, Ester Harris, Alice Henry, Evelyn Purifoy, Gracie Dixon; Great-uncles, James Talley (Vergie), Johnnie Sorrells, Daniel Washington (Margaret) and a host of cousins, family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Pastor Steven Sorrells officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28th from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
